Fashion Island is a fresh, new lifestyle centre concept developed by Prime Retail. Unique to Australasia, Fashion Island comprises leading fashion brands and provides customers with a convenient, easy-access shopping precinct.

Prime Retail successfully introduced the Fashion Island concept to Papamoa in 2006 and to Nelson in 2007. Both Fashion Island centres are now owned by Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) and Prime Retail continues to manage on their behalf.

Fashion Island Nelson is comprised of;

• 28 separate retail stores
• 3,500 square metres

Fashion Island is located in central Nelson between Morrison St, Hardy St and Selwyn Place. The centre is designed to take advantage of the city’s sunny climes, with a landscaped courtyard area and plenty of easy parking. Fashion Island Nelson has 28 specialty retail tenancies, and is home to the cream of New Zealand’s fashion retailers, as well as specialist accessory, health and beauty stores and cafés.

The Fashion Island project was constructed using Hebel Supercrete 125mm and 200mm Commercial & Industrial Wall Systems bolted to steel support columns and beams, with some minor areas being finished in 75mm Panel Cladding over timber framing.
