Our StoryWe've learned a lot in the years since "The CFG Team" kicked off in 1984, particularly that you can't afford to stand still. Today we're one of New Zealand's premier manufacturers of "Long Life Protective Coatings". We are fortunate enough to have built a team of extremely capable professionals to continually drive our coating technologies, product lines and research & development to the market with absolute precision.
The CFG Group also have a long association with Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC), CFG has always been very passionate about environmentally sustainable building products and therefore this has always formed the core of the Groups' beliefs. It all started back in the early nineties when CFG gained an exclusive NZ licence for Hebel AAC and from there they built a National Hebel Distribution network trading under the name of Lightweight Concrete (NZ). Lightweight Concrete NZ built up to become the largest AAC Distributor in New Zealand. Lightweight Concrete (NZ) Ltd was later changed to CFG Concrete Ltd.
 Hebel or Supercrete as it is known today; is a
lightweight Autoclaved Aerated Concrete product with excellent insulation, thermal efficiency, fire resistance and
sound transmission blocking capabilities. This product comes with a big environmentally friendly tag which followed
Cavan Forde's vision to build an environmentally friendly masonry building system from the inside of the building out to the
final coat of paint. Many years later New Zealands Department of Building and Housing recognised this dream issuing
CFG with an Accreditation of the system, the only one of its kind in New Zealand.
The Supercoat range of coating products were initially developed for use over Hebel Supercrete AAC products. The diversity of Supercoat's Acrylic technologies allowed it to be developed and refined for Roof Coating, Internal/External walls, Waterproofing Agents and Acrylic Textures and Base Coats. Our ApproachWe offer a comprehensive approach to supporting the innovation initiatives required by the building and coatings industry. Our model is grounded in our deep history of Research & Development, and balanced with over 25 years of collaborative work which has been added to by many of the worlds leading experts in the field of Applied Acrylic Coatings and Autoclaved Aerated Concrete.

Our strength lies in purchasing only high quality raw materials in order to achieve high quality standards of finished products. Hebel Supercrete and Supercoat coating system technologies are backed by qualified chemists who have vast experience in various sectors of the paint and concrete industries. An ongoing modernisation policy is adopted with regard to equipment and procedures. CFG has also built very strong relationships with several major organisations in the global AAC & Coatings industries. This provides us with the most up to date information and industry techniques. |
